We, Barundi living in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, inspired by a common determination to promote unity, cohesiveness and cooperation, shoulder the responsibility of development and cultural identity in response to the aspirations of Burundians in the United Kingdom.
UK Burundian Diaspora aim is:
For the public benefit among those who are migrants, refugees or asylum seekers (including but not limited to those of Burundian origin):-
(1) The relief of financial hardship by the provision of:-
a. information, advice and guidance;
b. educational and social programmes that promote community involvement.
(2) To advance the education of the public in the UK, through social and cultural activities, concerning Burundi, its history, heritage, arts, languages and other aspects.
(3) The relief of poverty by provision of advice and financial support to the many Burundians in need of relief in refugee camps in Rwanda and Tanzania and in the region generally.
The association is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-religious and limited liability corporation that is democratic in structure and organized under the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in keeping with the association’s articles of incorporation.
